Kenny Kaos (pictured far left) is the drummer for Washington, DC-based band Dead City Empire . It was a pleasure to complete this interview with him on March 27, 2026. While researching you, I was intrigued. I don't normally interview drummers. What inspired you to take up the drums and how long have you been playing? I have been playing drums since I was one year old! I got my first gig playing for church at about 9 years old. Since then I have never looked back! I've played and toured with many different styles of music but something about rock music that sets me free! Do you play any other instruments? I play guitar, bass guitar, keys, trumpet, trombone lets just say I'm musically inclined to learn any instrument I want. How do you practice the drums without driving your neighbors crazy, lol?
